Introducing Phuel

An important first step in establishing a successful business is to have a brand name with character that identifies the values of the owners and employees. When we agreed to call our company Phuel Oil Tools (pronounced Fuel)  we were initially making a play on words, but with a little research we discovered that Phuel was the ancient spirit of the moon and provided great fortune & blessing. We will do the same through our products!

So with the company name set we wanted to combine the spirit of Phuel into our company logo and combine it with the colours from the Scottish thistle to highlight our origins. The Scots are seen as down to earth, innovative, solid and dependable but full of integrity and pride. A survey conducted by VisitScotland showed that people felt they got the genuine article when they came to Scotland. The research emphasises our four core values :

Integrity - working together, not over-promising and enforcing quality levels
Pride - passionate, sharing our enthusiasm and delivering the best
Proficiency - knowing our customers, dealing with things on the spot, continually improving and learning, enforcing best practice
Innovation - open to new ideas, unafraid of change, individually responsive and responsible, providing solutions and doing things better
